Why are we called Proverb?
Proverbs are more than just idioms. They summarise experience, understanding and cultural sensitivity in just a few words. This is exactly what we demand of every translation. For over 30 years, Proverb has been a partner to international companies and institutions for language services – personalised, precise, professional.
Our experienced team consists of competent and motivated project managers who have a degree in linguistics and love their profession. Through their commitment, they make a significant contribution to the company’s success. They demonstrate their expertise on a daily basis by providing comprehensive support for your translation projects.
We carefully select our specialised translators, who translate exclusively into their native language. They also have at least 5 years of translation experience in addition to further training. They master linguistic subtleties, solve tricky contexts and love what they do best: translating.
The people behind the company
Co-founder Deborah Yates is a qualified translator for English – German, Russian – German and Spanish – German translations with many years of experience abroad and extensive language expertise, which she is constantly expanding. She is convinced that „excellent quality and precision in specialised translations require knowledge and continuous further training“.
The co-founder of the translation agency, Alexander Heiler, is no longer involved in the operational side of the business but is on hand in the background to provide advice.
Managing Director Nadine Grasse, who has held a management position at the company for over 20 years, studied Spanish (first language) and English (second language) at Saarland University’s Faculty of Philosophy, specialising in mechanical and electrical engineering. Thanks to her Spanish roots, she discovered her passion for languages and other cultures at an early age and made this her profession.
